Drop in and play with a selection of the library's toys. Explore new games, toys, and activities that are educational and fun while meeting other families. This program is for children with their caregivers.

Join us for Adaptive Storytime at the library, a program that nurtures the early literacy skills of children who have difficulty engaging during traditional storytimes or have neurodiverse symptoms. Adaptive Storytime can be individualized to meet a childs needs with flexible pacing, more interactive opportunities, and sensory play. Content is geared toward ages 3 - 7 years, but all ages are welcome, accompanied by a caregiver. Siblings are welcome, too.

Read The Seamstress of Sardinia by Bianca Pitzorno and meet us in the Administration Office for a discussion! In 1900 Sardinia, a young womans remarkable talent with a needle earns her a position as a seamstress with a wealthy family. Inside this privileged world far different from her own humble beginnings, the skilled sewer quietly takes measurements, sketches designs, mends hemsand in the silence, hears whispered secrets and stories of all those around her.

Join us for Storytime at the library. We will sing, rhyme, read, and craft together. Your child will have so much fun they might not even realize they are learning important skills for future reading! This program is for children and their caregivers.

FHCPL Board Meeting

Join us for Glitter Jar Meditation and Journaling as we focus on being thankful, mindful, and grateful. With over 70,000 thoughts racing through your mind each day it can be hard to slow down and focus. Staff from the Family Resource Center will be here to share some simple tips to help clear your mind so you can truly be thankful and grateful. Each teen will make their own glitter jar to take home with them. To ensure we have enough space and materials, registration is required. This program is for students in grades 6-12.

Join us for art, science, and engineering projects in our Makerspace for kids! This month, we will be exploring engineering through a variety of hands-on activities. Please register all children. Adults do not need to register, but children 8 and under should be accompanied by an adult.

Need help choosing your next book? Enjoy having a snack while you read? Want to receive a few fun goodies this month? Teens in grades 8-12 can register with their email address to get a Teen Tote filled with teen library books selected especially for them, along with some other goodies like snacks and bookmarks! Registrants will receive an email with a Google Form to fill out to let us get to know them better. An active FHCPL card is required to participate.
