Amazing Animal Adaptations (Virtual Field Trip to the Toledo Zoo & Aquarium)

Animal adaptations are amazing! Explore the many traits and behaviors that animals need to help them survive in the wild. This program includes a live tour of an animal exhibit at the Toledo Zoo & Aquarium, a presentation from a knowledgeable guide, and time for questions.

Register below and staff will send you a link to join us on Zoom. Only one registration per family is required. Please register by noon on 7/27 (the day of the program).

Recommended for grades K-6.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library.

Reading with Gibbs

Need help building reading confidence? Or do you love reading as much as you love dogs? Beginning readers and students in kindergarten through twelfth grade are invited to drop in for reading practice with Gibbs, a licensed therapy dog, at the library each week. Participants will receive one-on-one time with Gibbs and his trainer as a way to work on reading strength and confidence while enjoying the company of a furry friend.

Join us for SummerREAD Storytime at Riverside Park! We will sing, rhyme, and read together as we explore Oceans of Possibilities! Storytime is for children of all ages, accompanied by a caregiver. If there is inclement weather, the librarys website and Facebook will have alerts, and Storytime will be held in the Lindamood Room of the library on the same day and time.

Do you love mermaids? Join us for fun stories and a mermaid craft, then learn to dance ballet like a mermaid with students from the Findlay Academy of Ballet. Ages 4-8 with an adult caregiver. Please register all children. (adult caregivers do not need to register)
