Couldn't make it at 10:00 am? That's ok! Join us at 11:00 am for an engaging SummerREAD Baby Storytime at Riverside Park! Songs, stories, rhymes, and other fun activities for the youngest learners. Recommended for children birth through 36 months and their caregivers. Programs held outside will be cancelled if a Thunderstorm warning has been issued one hour prior to the start of the program. All programs will be cancelled if a tornado watch or tornado warning has been issued one hour prior to the start of the program.

At-Home Escape Room: The Traveler's Treasure

Do you love solving puzzles and cracking secret codes? Our at-home escape room kit contains puzzles and props to create a fun family escape room in your own home. Kits can be picked up starting July 17 and are available for free in the Children's Department at the Main Library, at the Arlington Branch, and in the Bookmobile until July 31st.

Each month we will have a new take home kit with the spices and herbs youll need to make a different recipe from around the world. This month we are making cold somen noodles to help celebrate the Olympics being in Tokyo and to cool down in the summer heat. The kits will be available to pick up July 19th-24th.
