Makerspace: Adventures with LEGOs: Build an Island

Join us for art, science, and engineering projects in our makerspace for kids. This month, we will be using LEGOs, Keva Planks, and more to build our own islands. These activities are inspired by our 2023 YouthREAD books, "High and Dry" by Eric Walters and "Caterpillar Summer" by Gillian McDunn. Children 8 and under should be accompanied by an adult.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offering free tax preparation services for individuals who live in Hancock County and whose household income is $60,000 or less annually. You must call 567-250-1955 to schedule an appointment, as appointments are required. They will begin accepting phone calls for appointments starting January 17.

In partnership with the Borderless Relations Committee with support from You Belong, Kids Club: Exploring Diversity seeks to promote cultural awareness and acceptance. During each session, we will read and discuss a cultural story then further explore cultures through activities like watching short movies, making crafts, and enjoying cultural snacks. During our March session, we will be exploring Nigerian culture. This program is for grades 2-6 with an adult caregiver.
