Reading with Gibbs

Need help building reading confidence? Or do you love reading as much as you love dogs? Beginning readers and students in kindergarten through twelfth grade are invited to drop in for reading practice with Gibbs, a licensed therapy dog, at the library each week. Participants will receive one-on-one time with Gibbs and his trainer as a way to work on reading strength and confidence while enjoying the company of a furry friend.

Ever wondered what makes fireflies shine? Curious about why so many sea creatures glow? When living things produce their own light, its called bioluminescence. Join us to learn more about what creatures have this amazing ability then explore how and why they glow.

This program will be hosted at the Oakwoods Nature Preserve at 1400 Oakwoods Lane, Findlay, Ohio at the Richard S. "Doc" Phillips Discovery Center.

Grades 2-6 with an Adult Caregiver. Please register ALL children and adults separately.
