Reading with Gibbs

Need help building reading confidence? Or do you love reading as much as you love dogs? Beginning readers and students in kindergarten through twelfth grade are invited to drop in for reading practice with Gibbs, a licensed therapy dog, at the library each week. Participants will receive one-on-one time with Gibbs and his trainer as a way to work on reading strength and confidence while enjoying the company of a furry friend.

Join us for SummerREAD Storytime at Riverside Park! We will sing, rhyme, and read together as we explore Oceans of Possibilities! Storytime is for children of all ages, accompanied by a caregiver. If there is inclement weather, the librarys website and Facebook will have alerts, and Storytime will be held in the Lindamood Room of the library on the same day and time.

Teens in grades 6-12 can join us at The University of Findlay's Mazza Museum for a tour of the "Enchanted Brush" Exhibition followed by a career chat with Curator, Dan Chudzinski. We will meet at the Mazza Museum. Please be sure to register through our online calendar or by calling the Youth Services desk at 419-434-1077.

Teen Take & Make: Do you like pirates, sea life, or sharks? Pick up one of our teen collage kits! Kits include many graphics and backgrounds to be cut out and assembled into a collage creation! Kits will be available to pick up at the Main Library in the Teen Department, as well as the Arlington Branch and Bookmobile beginning July 1st. While supplies last.
